The technology sector has long been accused of not being truly representative of wider society. From ethnicity to gender and on through areas like neurodiversity and socio-economic background, it often appears that there is a very distinct “type” that is likely to succeed, particularly at leadership level, within tech and data organisations. However, over the last 10 years or so, it could be argued that this has begun to change and that a newer, more diverse group of leaders have started to change the power dynamic within the sector.

Guest Bio:
Pardeep currently leads Buyside Client Experience for a fintech start up, working with the finance market to drive data driven efficiency, transformation and market acceleration. She is passionate about bringing market participants together to collaboratively problem solve and initiate change. Her prior experience is in the finance sector having worked in investment operations where she worked with a well-known investment services provider and with a retail bank during her time at university.
She sits on HM Treasury Taskforce for Accelerated Settlement as well as the FinTech Scotland Cluster Board. She uses this latter platform to advocate for the fintech community in Scotland, and specifically to support diversity and young talent in the sector.
